Counselling and psychotherapy for you
Hello, my name is Christina and I am an accredited counsellor and psychotherapist. I have over 10 years of experience working with people of all ages and stages of their lives. My specialisation is working with intergenerational trauma and patterns of behaviour. I have a keen interest in early childhood and see many caregivers facing the challenges of modern parenting. I work with toddlers, children and young people around a range of issues. I also work with couples and individuals. As we are social creatures all therapy work is relational.
If you feel like you need someone to listen or help you through a life transition, let's talk.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR VISIT
Learn About My Methods
I practice a person centred approach, meaning you are the expert, the therapist is merely there to support your growth and healing in the most gentle way possible. I believe that healing starts in a safe and trusting relationship between client and therapist. I practice a variety of modalities depending on your needs. There is no quick fix or magic strategy. However, therapy can help to work through past trauma, bring issues to the surface, change old patterns, manage behaviour or moods and connect with all the parts of yourself and others in your life.

ABOUT ME
I am a mother and plant lover. I started my academic journey with a keen interest in sociology, only to find myself drawn to people and their inner worlds. I love stories and helping people to reshape them. I have a Grad Dip in Counselling and a Grad Dip in Mental Health Science specialising in Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy. I have been working in the community non profit sector with traumatised adults, children and young people. I work with schools, government services, psychiatrists and other mental health professionals. I also teach post graduate counselling students and offer mentorship and supervision. I am a clinical member of PACFA.
