WELCOME

Counselling and psychotherapy for your family

Hello, my name is Christina and I am an accredited counsellor and child psychotherapist. I have over 10 years of experience working with people of all ages and stages of their lives. My specialisation is working with mothers and infants during the intimate transition into parenthood. I work with toddlers, children and young people around a range of issues. I also work with couples. If you feel like you need someone to listen or help you through a life transition, let's talk.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR VISIT

Learn About My Methods

I practice a person centred approach, meaning you are the expert, the therapist is merely there to support your growth and healing in the most gentle way possible. I believe that healing starts in a safe and trusting relationship between client and therapist. I practice a variety of modalities depending on your needs. There is no quick fix or magic strategy. However, therapy can help to work through past trauma, bring issues to the surface, change old patterns, manage behaviour or moods and connect with all the parts of yourself and others in your life.

Please get in touch for a chat to see how we can work together.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN

I work with children who may have behavioural issues at home or school. This includes social skills, learning, acting out, adjusting to a new sibling, seperation, transitions in the home, or anxiety. I also have lots of experience working with trauma, grief and domestic violence. Children work through their issues by playing. In therapy we offer the child a free and protected safe space where they can express themselves through play. I practice non directive play therapy. Meaning your child leads the way. In many cases the parent can be present, I also work with parents who wish to foster a more positive relationship with their child. I work with parents, teachers and other caregivers to support the child.
